Glenn Hoddle noticed something interesting from Thomas Frank as Tottenham played host to Newcastle in the Premier League.
It was yet another disappointing display from Spurs as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Eddie Howe’s side.
Malick Thiaw and Jacob Ramsey scored for the visitors, while Archie Gray scored the only goal for Tottenham.

Glenn Hoddle noticed Conor Gallagher position after Wilson Odobert injury
Wilson Odobert started the game on the right flank with Frank deploying a 4-3-3 system.
However, his time on the pitch was short-lived as he had to be withdrawn in the 35th minute due to an injury.
Mathys Tel came on and the expectation was that he would play on the right and it would be a like-for-like substitution.
Simple Question: How on earth is Thomas Frank still in a job?
That did not happen and he moved to the left flank where Xavi Simons was playing.
Instead of moving Simons to the right, Frank decided to put Conor Gallagher there, potentially to nullify Ramsey or Dan Burn.
Hoddle, who was on co-commentary on TNT Sports, noticed this and said: “It’s interesting, Tel has come on this left-hand side, but Simons hasn’t gone out to that right where Odobert was.
“It looks like Gallagher is playing on the right with Simons in behind Solanke. That might just work for them.”

Do Tottenham sack Thomas Frank before the Arsenal game?
Tottenham have now gone eight Premier League games without a win, and have lost four of them.
They sit in 16th place and Frank does not seem to be able to inspire his players.
There is plenty still to fight for, including going deep in the Champions League, and a change of manager would not be the worst idea in the world.
If Tottenham are committed to finishing the season well, there will be showdown talks held on Wednesday about the future of the manager.
Nothing he has done during his time in charge has proven that he is the right man for the job and that he deserves more time.
He has already lost the fans and a lot of the players just do not seem to be playing for him, so retaining his services proves to be pointless.
