Tottenham Hotspur captain Heung-min Son has been hailed as world class by Clinton Morrison for his goal on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou’s men were able to take all three points away from the game at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against Crystal Palace.

And it was Heung-min Son who capped off the comeback for the Lilywhites with the third goal for Spurs.

How many goals has Heung-min Son scored

The goal against the Eagles was Son’s 13th in the Premier League as Spurs closed the gap on Aston Villa ahead of their game this evening.

It was a cool finish which Spurs fans will have come to to expect from the South Korean as he slotted it home.

A goal which perhaps Timo Werner should learn from after his miss in the first half.

And it was apparent the Sky Sports pundit, Morrison, was impressed by the finish. He said on Soccer Saturday: ‘Son gets played in, he’s in on goal, Richards can’t catch him up. And he was never going to miss. You can see when these world class players go through. Brilliant finish from Son, just passes it into the bottom corner. Fantastic.’

Son leading the line

It was revealed on Friday by Postecoglou that Spurs are going to be without Richarlison for a number of weeks through injury.

The striker has been leading the line well in recent months, but Son has shown he is more than capable of filling in.

Son has now been able to return a stunning 19 goal contributions in the Premier League this season.

And that comes after a torrid 2022/23 campaign under Antonio Conte.

The South Korean has been able to reach these numbers having also missed a number of games whilst away at the Asian Cup.

Reports suggest talks are already underway over a potential contract extension for Son and this feels like something which is crucial for Spurs to seal.

Having signed for just £22m, he has to be one of the Premier League most shrewd signings.
