Tottenham Hotspur fans have been left in disbelief after hearing of another potential injury to Ryan Sessegnon on Saturday.

The left-back had been working his way back from another injury issue following his cameo appearance last month in the FA Cup against Burnley.

He missed out on the cut for the game against Wolves in the Premier League, but he did play against West Ham United U21s in Premier League 2.

Ryan Sessegnon injury latest

The 23-year-old’s time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has predominantly been spent back on the treatment table at Hotspur Way.

Over the 2023/24 term, the Englishman has only been able to rack up a mere seven minutes of action having picked up another hamstring injury having only just returned from surgery last month.

And now it looks like he could be set for more time in the physio room at Hotspur Way following his appearance for the U21s on Saturday.

Having started the game, Sessegnon was withdrawn after just 37 minutes.

A number of Tottenham fans took to X to share their disappointment at the news emerging from the youth game:

Sessegnon’s Tottenham future

Destiny Udogie has picked up an injury and was absent for the game against Wolves on Saturday, he is not definitely available for the next game.

This could have offered Sessegnon a small glimmer of hope to potentially get some minutes under his belt and prove he could add something to this Ange Postecoglou side.

But if this is – as many will expect – another injury issue, it could well bring a close to Sessegnon’s chapter in north London.

Just 57 appearances having signed for the club back in 2019 just simply isn’t good enough and, perhaps the biggest issue, there is no indication the injuries stopping.

We can’t help but feel sorry for Sessegnon and he will be more frustrated than anyone else. But surely it is time for both parties to separate .
