Tottenham scored late at Anfield through Richarlison to earn a deserved share of the spoils against Liverpool.

The Reds took the lead through Dominic Szoboszlai but after a drab performance from the hosts, Spurs were able to capitalise and breathe life into their relegation battle.

Igor Tudor has likely earned himself a short stay of execution, with all the talk before the game suggesting that a heavy defeat on Merseyside could spell the end for the interim boss.

Tottenham are facing Atletico Madrid in midweek and next Sunday face the mouthwatering relegation six-pointer against Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Chris Sutton thinks Igor Tudor is a hypocrite

The Croatian boss came out fighting in his press conference after the game, praising the players for the spirit they showed in the Anfield draw against Liverpool.

He said that team spirit was vital to the share of the spoils, but Sutton isn’t having that considering that he’s been bashing the players since he came in at the North London club.

He said on BBC Radio 5 Live: “Igor Tudor has more faces than Big Ben. ‘Team spirit was key.’ This is the guy who absolutely filleted the players and told them they’re all useless. Now he is talking about team spirit.”

Spurs must now try and build on this result and overturn their fortunes against Atletico Madrid in midweek, where they trail 5-2 from the first leg.

The game with Forest looks massive and perhaps the penny has dropped in the mind of Tudor that he needs to keep the fans and players on his side ahead of the run-in.
