Tottenham got off to the perfect start to their Champions League campaign with a victory over Villarreal, and Chris Sutton was full of praise for one of their players.
Thomas Frank’s campaign got underway with a comical own goal just four minutes in, as a dominant Spurs side flexed their muscles in the early exchanges.
Things were not so straightforward in the second half, however they were able to hold on to take all three points from the opening game.
The manager named a very similar side to the one who had decimated West Ham at the weekend, with Lucas Bergvall keeping his place in the 11.

The Swede enjoyed an excellent display against the Hammers last time out, with Alan Shearer naming Bergvall in his Team of the Week.
He impressed again with his performance against Villarreal, and Sutton picked him out as a standout performer for the hosts.
He said to BBC Sport: “Once again Bergvall makes that run into the right channel and he is causing all sorts of problems for Villarreal. They have not managed to find a way to deal with him.
“Bergvall has been outstanding for Spurs, his forward run down the right led to the first goal, that goalkeeping blunder.”

Rodrigo Bentancur came into midfield in place of Joao Palhinha for the Champions League game, as Frank continues to assess who his best options are going forwards.
However, it is looking clear that whoever the opposition, Bergvall has made his way into a list of players who have to play whenever they are fit.
