Ange Postecoglou looks set to be boosted by Cristian Romero’s availability when Tottenham Hotspur travel to Brighton on Thursday.

Romero was forced off in the 2-1 win over Everton on Saturday, with Ange Postecoglou bringing on Eric Dier at halftime.

The Aussie admitted after the game that Romero felt ‘tightness’ in his hamstring, leading to fears he could miss Thursday’s clash at the Amex Stadium.

It has since been reported that the Argentine will be fit for the game against Brighton, leaving Postecoglou with a difficult decision to make at left-back.

Emerson Royal impressed in the position on Saturday after replacing the suspended Destiny Udogie

But with the Italian set to return to action, we expect Royal to drop back to the bench, despite an encouraging performance last time out.

Tottenham predicted XI vs Brighton

Guglielmo Vicario looks set to continue between the sticks after yet another brilliant showing against Everton.

Spurs look set to be boosted by Romero being ready to start, while Udogie will also be available following his one-match ban.

The ‘underrated’ Udogie has enjoyed a brilliant start to life at Tottenham, despite some early concerns over his disciplinary record. But with how vital Udogie is to the way Postecoglou sets his side up, he will surely replace Emerson Royal at left-back.

The £26 million man would have every right to feel hard-done-by if that is the case after a decent display against Everton.

We think Postecoglou could opt for a change in midfield too, with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg replacing Oliver Skipp.

Dejan Kulusevski has impressed in the middle of the park though and we expect him to continue alongside Pape Matar Sarr.

It would be a surprise to see Postecoglou make any changes to the front three, with Heung-Min Son, Richarlison and Brennan Johnson all clicking well in recent weeks.

Here is our predicted Tottenham XI for the clash vs Brighton in full.
