Tottenham Hotspur fans have lauded Guglielmo Vicario on social media following yesterday’s win over Everton.
Spurs were slightly fortunate to pick up all three points against Everton on Saturday afternoon after a difficult second half.
Ange Postecoglou’s men looked set for a straightforward afternoon after netting twice inside the opening 20 minutes.
Richarlison bagged his fourth goal in the last three games as he came back to haunt his former side just 10 minutes before Heung-Min Son doubled Tottenham’s advantage.
But to Everton’s credit, Sean Dyche’s side stuck to the task admirably and were eventually rewarded with what turned out to be a consolation goal in the 82nd minute.
Andre Gomes beat Guglielmo Vicario with a brilliant strike from range. But it took something special to beat the Italian and he proved to be Tottenham’s hero in the latter stages of the game.
The 27-year-old denied former Spurs loanee Arnaut Danjuma on two occasions in the closing stages of yesterday’s clash.
And his latest display has led to huge praise from Tottenham fans on social media.

Tottenham fans laud Vicario after Everton clash
Vicario has enjoyed an impressive start to life at Tottenham after joining from Empoli for a fee worth £17.2 million over the summer.
The Italy international has provided an assured head between the sticks and his latest Spurs display has gone down well with supporters.
Indeed, one even lauded Vicario as the ‘best keeper in the league’ while another dubbed his display against Everton as ‘outrageous’.
It’s fair to say that many Tottenham fans were underwhelmed when the club cooled their interest in David Raya and went for Vicario instead. But it’s turned out to be an inspired piece of business from Spurs’ point of view.
Vicario has arguably been the best goalkeeper in the league this term, alongside the likes of Liverpool star Alisson Becker.

Many feared it would take the club some time to successfully replace former skipper Hugo Lloris.
Yet, Tottenham seem to have managed to do just that at the first attempt.
Vicario has stepped up in crucial moments this season and is already becoming a key figure under Postecoglou.
