Tottenham Hotspur have been warned by Stan Collymore about Manchester City potentially making a move for Micky van de Ven in the future.
The Dutchman is enjoying a stunning first season in north London under Ange Postecoglou and it seems he is already being tipped for a bigger move.
Van de Ven has already established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but that will have seemingly caught the attention of some of Europe’s finest.

Manchester City expected to be eyeing Van de Ven
We signed the 22-year-old in the summer for £35m from the Bundesliga side Wolfsburg, and it is a move which has proved to be worth every penny so far.
Van de Ven suffered a serious hamstring injury which kept him out of action for a lengthy period of time, however, he has made an instant return to action since his recovery.
In recent days, the defender has been hailed for his pace with the youngster being named the fastest recorded player in Premier League history.
But all of this may have caught the attention of the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, according to pundit Stan Collymore: “I think Spurs’ only concern will be keeping hold of him long-term. I really wouldn’t be surprised if Real Madrid or Manchester City come in for him in a season or two — they’ve both probably already got their eye on him,” he said.
“Daniel Levy should already be preparing a new contract for him; one that includes a clause to prevent the club from losing a player that looks like becoming their most valuable asset.”

Daniel Levy warned of Van de Ven interest
The warning has been put out there to Daniel Levy and it has to be in his mind given the performances Van de Ven has already put in.
The likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Destiny Udogie have already been handed new deals to increase their salaries and prolong their contracted stays in north London.
And it is believed the 22-year-old centre-back is on a weekly salary in the region of £50k-per-week.
Of course, that is a huge sum of money, but in comparison to the £165k-per-week his defensive partner, Cristian Romero, is believed to be on.
We have seen in the past that when a club like Real Madrid coming knocking, it can be very hard for a player to turn down their offer.
However, Van de Ven’s performances this season do feel worthy of an improved deal which could potentially go a long way towards keeping him in N17 for the years to come.
