Tottenham have been heavily linked with the French youngster.

Tottenham’s desire to bring in a new winger has been well-documented in recent times.

Speaking to Football.London, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou stated that bringing in new attacking players is a priority for the club this summer.

This has been shown by Tottenham’s recent pursuit of Rennes attacker, Desire Doue.

The 19-year-old is reportedly on the club’s attacking shortlist this summer and the club soon looks set to make an offer, with a fee of £35 million likely to be enough to secure his services – according to Lequipe.

Desire Doue age and birthplace

Desire Doue is 19-years-old having been born on 3 June 2005.

He was born in Angers, France but also has family heritage from the Ivory Coast.

Desire’s older brother Guela Doue also plays for Rennes, meanwhile, his cousins Yann Gboho and Marc-Oliver Doue are also both professional footballers, plying their trade in France and Spain.

Doue is very quick, but it is his dribbling ability that makes him stand out. Ranked as one of Europe’s best dribblers, the Frenchman ranks in the top 6% of attacking midfielders and wingers across Europe’s top five leagues for successful take-ons, 3.42 per 90 (stats from FBref).

The 19-year-old’s flair and trickery make him a nightmare for defenders in 1v1 situations, once the youngster has beaten his man he often likes to cut in and shoot on his favored right foot.
