Tottenham Hotspur have had a very mixed season to date, recording some amazing victories but also falling to some shock defeats.
Spurs’ 4-0 hammering of Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium shows they can beat anyone on their day.
However, Tottenham have also suffered losses to the likes of Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town, so there’s still work to do on the consistency front.
With the January transfer window on the horizon, Ange Postecoglou could well look to make a number of reinforcements.
Now, transfer insider Graeme Bailey has shared what Tottenham plan to do as one of their former targets is now set to leave his club on loan.

Tottenham plan to keep tabs on Evan Ferguson if he goes out on loan
The player in question is Brighton & Hove Albion’s Evan Ferguson, one of the brightest young forwards in the Premier League but struggling for game time at present.
Links between Tottenham and Ferguson go back to 2023, with talkSPORT reporting that Spurs saw him as a potential replacement for Harry Kane.
Bailey, speaking to The Spurs News, has revealed that Tottenham plan to keep a close eye on Ferguson if he does go elsewhere on loan.
“Spurs like Evan Ferguson,” said Bailey. “Chelsea and Arsenal too, he is very much still regarded as one of the best young strikers in Europe.
“He has just been caught in the that perfect storm where he wasn’t fit and Brighton have been flying with Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck, and Georginio Rutter coming in.
“Brighton still love him and don’t want to sell, but they are set to let him go on loan. Whether Ferguson still feels the same about Brighton remains to be seen.
“Spurs will be keeping a close eye on him during his possible loan, they still rate him highly.”
Who could Ferguson join on loan in January?
The Spurs News has been told that West Ham, Southampton, Leicester and Fulham are amongst the sides we are told have shown an interest in Ferguson.
Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers, plus a number of teams in Spain, France, Italy and Germany, are also keen on the youngster.
Brighton want guarantees over first-team football for Ferguson, whose contract at the Amex Stadium runs until 2029.
