Tottenham Hotspur’s summer clearout is set to continue having already seen a number of unwanted players moved on.

The Lilywhites have sanctioned the exit of numerous players inside the first month of this summer’s transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou has had 12 months to determine which players he wants at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to take his side forward.

Individuals like Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon were not considered as key players to the Australian with the pair both departing the club as free agents.

And then there is Joe Rodon who Daniel Levy sold to Leeds United after Tottenham secured the signing of young midfielder Archie Gray.

But there is one player still on the transfer list who has now caught the attention of one of Spurs’ London rivals, West Ham.

Tottenham receiving interest from West Ham in wantaway player

Although the Australian has only had 12 months in the job, there has been some significant improvements made under Postecoglou at Spurs.

Although Tottenham’s defensive record was hardly one to shout about, the Australian did manage to nail down a solid backline on paper.

The addition of Destiny Udogie has provided Tottenham with a real option for the long-term down the left side which will make it difficult for any player to dislodge him from the starting XI.

Sessegnon has already departed the club from that position and it seems there could be another player set to follow suit.

According to AS, West Ham are showing an interest in signing Postecoglou outcast Sergio Reguilon.

The defender is said to be free to find a new club this summer as he does not come into the plans of Postecoglou ahead of the new campaign.

Having spent the 2023/24 campaign out on loan with Manchester United and then Brentford, the Spaniard is said to be receiving interest from inside the Premier League.

It is claimed in the report that United and West Ham have shown an interest in the left-back this summer with Juventus also said to be monitoring the 27-year-old.

Tottenham set to take another hefty loss on Sergio Reguilon

Levy has had to accept some heft financial losses this summer in offloading players for nothing.

Of course, it will see them removed from the wage bill but not receiving any money in return will be hard to take.

Reguilon was not part of the exodus earlier in the summer which would suggest Spurs are looking to recoup some of the money spent on him when he signed from Real Madrid.

And after some ‘outstanding‘ displays on loan with Brentford last season, Reguilon may have put himself in a good position to find a solid move over the coming weeks.
