Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing a summer swoop for Argentine midfielder Ezequiel Fernandez of Boca Juniors.

This comes just weeks after the signing of young midfield prospect Lucas Bergvall who is set to join up with the club in the summer.

But it seems Ange Postecoglou is keen to keep the stream of young prospects flowing in to Hotspur Way with attention already turned to the summer window.

Tottenham interested in Ezequiel Fernandez

According to a report coming out of Argentina, Tottenham are now ready to go all out to bring in the 21-year-old midfielder over the coming months.

But it may not be a simple deal for Spurs to pull off with Juan Roman Riquelme keen to keep ahold of the player despite the interest coming from the Premier League.

Spurs are not the only club to have shown an interest in the 21-year-old with Arsenal having had their names also thrown in the frame, as per reports.

Eye on young prospects

The attention put on bringing in some of the game’s most exciting young talents is evident to see since the appointment of Postecoglou.

Being able to pip the likes of Barcelona to the signing of Bergvall was a big statement for the club, but he is not the only one.

Even with Radu Dragusin, this is still a 22-year-old centre-back who is a player for the long-term in north London and he snubbed some huge clubs to join Tottenham.

And there is even young defender Ashley Phillips, who may have gone under the radar, after arriving in the summer and impressing massively in his loan with Plymouth Argyle.

There is a lot to be excited about under Postecoglou and the development of the club’s young players is certainly a big factor.
