Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon has now dropped a hint he could leave the club in the summer window.

The Welshman is spending another season away on loan with Championship outfit Leeds United.

And as Daniel Farke’s men push for promotion back to the Premier League, Rodon has discussed his future.

Joe Rodon’s Tottenham future

Since signing for the Lilywhites, Rodon has failed to make much of an impact on the starting XI.

And it is apparent he is a player who is not in Ange Postecoglou’s plans having been sent straight out on loan.

Playing with the high-flying Championship outfit, Rodon has recently discussed the possibility of leading Leeds to promotion.

And speaking to Welsh media, the 26-year-old even hinted at a permanent move to Yorkshire over the summer: “Just playing of course is what everyone wants but I think all of us together, I think it would be a really nice kind of journey if we did get there [the Premier League],” he said.

“With the journeys we’ve all been on, now it’s all led us to this moment. I just think it would be great for the collective as well, all of us to be playing together in the Premier League.”

Tottenham’s defensive options

Rodon has never featured under Postecoglou since his appointment last summer, but Spurs some serious options still to choose from.

Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have formed a solid partnership at the back and Radu Dragusin till awaits his first start.

Despite having these three to choose from, it seems Spurs will explore the market for more in the summer.

The Spurs News has been told the club are looking at both Lloyd Kelly and Tosin Adarabioyo as potential free agent options.

And with this in mind, it does look like Rodon’s time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could be coming to a conclusion.

His Leeds manager has been left impressed with Farke hailing the ‘unbelievable pace‘ the 26-year-old possesses.

This summer will be the last real opportunity for Spurs to bring in considerable money for Rodon with one year left on his deal.

It has been claimed Daniel Levy could demand up to £20m after his impressive season at Leeds.
