Tottenham Hotspur could now see one of their 27-year-old midfielders leave in the summer transfer window.
A big summer lies ahead of Ange Postecoglou as the Australian will be able to decide which players haven’t cut it for him over the 2023/24 term.
There are already a number of players who are being linked with an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of the summer.
And it now seems there is one, in particular, whose future is becoming more open than ever to being away from north London.
Could Giovani Lo Celso leave Tottenham this summer?
One player who seemingly hasn’t done it for Postecoglou since his appointment is Giovani Lo Celso.
The 27-year-old Argentine has only made four starts in the Premier League this season and, it has to be said, they only came through the absence of James Maddison.
However, he has shown some signs to leave some impressed in his brief amount of time on the pitch for Spurs this season.
In just three of his four starts, Lo Celso was able to return Spurs two goals and two assists in the Premier League.
But the Spanish media are now suggesting his future may be away from Tottenham as he continues to impress for his national side.
The report even claims Barcelona have shown interest in the past, but there is no mention of possible interest this summer.

What Ange Postecoglou said about Lo Celso
Considering the money which Spurs put into signing Lo Celso, he has been hugely underwhelming for the Lilywhites.
The 27-year-old has never really settled in to life in the Premier League and has been sent out on a couple of loans since landing in north London.
After signing for a figure in the region of £55m, here is what Spurs have received from Lo Celso in return.
- 99 appearances
- 10 goals
- 8 assists
- 14 yellow cards

The signing of Maddison in the summer pretty much said it all about how heavily involved Lo Celso could expect to be this season.
But Postecoglou has had some positive things to say about the Argentine. On the back of the victory over Bournemouth, he said: “Gio was very good today, not just with his work rate but you could see his quality on the ball.
“His passes through and the one through to Sonny was outstanding. We needed him today and we’re going to need him going forward because Sonny goes away now, Biss goes away, Pape goes away. So I thought he was a good contributor.”
Going into the summer, Lo Celso will have just one year remaining on his current deal with Spurs.
Meaning this will be the last real opportunity for Daniel Levy to bring some money back into the club for the Argentine.
It will be interesting to see where he lands, but surely there will be enough interest to see Spurs bring in a small amount of money.
