Tottenham Hotspur reportedly hold a ‘strong interest’ in signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho.

Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims Spurs have been scouting the centre-back recently ahead of a possible summer move.

Tottenham‘s business in defence seems to be done for the time being after snapping up Radu Dragusin from Genoa earlier this month.

But Ange Postecoglou’s men continue to be linked with moves for central defenders and Willian Pacho is the latest player to emerge as a target.

Tottenham hold ‘strong interest’ in Pacho

Tavolieri took to X on Sunday evening and claimed that Pacho is of interest to Tottenham.

It’s a deal that is likely being lined up for the summer, with Spurs already scouting the 22-year-old.

He wrote: “Tottenham Hotspurs have a strong interest on Willian Pacho!

“Spurs took information about the profile and have been watching the Colombian central defender several times with SGE.

“The one to watch as there will be competition in the Premier League for the Eintracht Frankfurt central back this summer.”

Pacho has been ever present for Frankfurt this term, racking up a total of 28 appearances in all competitions.

The talented young defender has been lauded as a player who boasts ‘world-class’ qualities when it comes to defending his own box.

He’s already earned nine caps for Ecuador and has netted twice from centre-back at international level.

A new centre-back certainly isn’t a pressing concern after the arrival of Dragusin.

Postecoglou is well-stocked in central defence at the moment, particularly after the returns of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero.

Ben Davies has also shown he can perform to a high standard in a back four. But it’s good to see the club planning ahead for the summer.
