Tottenham Hotspur are now expected to keep hold of one of their players who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.

Daniel Levy will be hoping to see Tottenham‘s revenue boosted ahead of next season with qualification to the Champions League.

Spurs look set to qualify for some form of European football and could even finish fifth and still find themselves playing Champions League football next term.

Which will mean Ange Postecoglou will need a deep squad filled with quality if Spurs are to compete on all fronts.

And The Spurs News have already been told that the club are eyeing multiple areas to add to over the summer.

But it looks like one player who has already received interest from elsewhere is set to remain put at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham now looking to keep 25-year-old who barely plays under Ange Postecoglou

Ahead of the summer, there is expected to be a further clear out as Postecoglou looks to make this squad his own.

Spurs have already seen a number of players leave since Postecoglou’s arrival with Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez just some of the players offloaded.

And, of course, Spurs were forced to accept a £100m bid for their record goalscorer Harry Kane after Bayern Munich came calling.

More exits are on the cards ahead of the summer with players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg already being offered to clubs in Serie A.

However, it seems one player who will be staying put this summer is Emerson Royal who signed back in 2021 for £25m from Barcelona.

According to club insider Paul O Keefe, Spurs are not looking to move the Brazilian right-back on this summer.

This comes after TalkSPORT claim Spurs batted away £21m interest from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in the January transfer window.

Emerson Royal admitted he could barely walk after recent injury

The Brazilian’s recent spell in the Premier League has not offered him with a great deal of minutes. He has not featured in any of the last five games.

That may partly be down to the excellent form of Pedro Porro who netted on the weekend against Nottingham Forest.

Speaking about his recent injury issue, Royal admitted it left him struggling to walk before he seeked medical treatment.

“I couldn’t take a step, I had no strength, it hurt a lot,” he said late last month.

“A few days after [the treatment] I didn’t feel any more pain, then we did the second application to make the tendon stronger, but I didn’t feel any pain.”
