Tottenham Hotspur are looking to add more signings to Ange Postecoglou’s squad with an attacking addition seemingly the next priority.
We are now just over a week away from Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season preparations taking a leap forward.
Spurs take on Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle next week, handing former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou a return to Scotland.
The Premier League season is on the horizon and Tottenham are still chasing reinforcements for the new campaign.
Lucas Bergvall finally starts his Spurs career this summer whilst Timo Werner is coming back on loan from RB Leipzig.
Tottenham then pounced to sign Archie Gray last week, luring the wonderkid away from Championship side Leeds United.
The 18-year-old has penned an 18-month deal in North London and Tottenham are keen to add more talent around the teenager moving forward.

Tottenham Hotspur stance on Desire Doue
Reports in recent days have suggested that Tottenham already have a ‘next big transfer’ in mind after signing Gray.
The belief is that Tottenham want the next addition to be an attacking player, bolstering Postecoglou’s options in the final third.
Fans may immediately think of a new striker to replace Harry Kane almost a year since his move to Bayern Munich.
Tottenham at more of a wide player or number 10 though with Rennes talent Desire Doue continuing to feature prominently on the rumour mill.
The Sun now report that Tottenham are involved in a ‘bidding war’ with London rivals Chelsea over a potential deal for Doue.
Doue is described as being a ‘top priority’ for both Tottenham and Chelsea with talks already ongoing with his representatives.
It’s noted that Postecoglou is ‘especially big’ on the idea of signing Doue and both clubs want a deal wrapped up by next week.
19-year-old Doue hit four goals and five assists in 31 Ligue 1 games last season, operating predominantly as a left-sided winger.
The Frenchman is being backed for a huge future and has been praised as a ‘very intelligent’ player with an ‘extraordinary’ ability to operate in various positions at a high level by Rennes boss Julien Stephan.
“I think he’s made a lot of progress in this second half of the season, he’s brought us a lot of things. His talent was known to everyone, but he managed to fit a lot of things into his game. He has extraordinary versatility in addition, he can cover 4 or 5 positions, almost indifferently, he’s very intelligent because he can adapt to any situation, almost any system,” said Stephan.

Doue’s summer commitments a factor
Tottenham may want to rush through a deal for Doue in an attempt to beat Chelsea in the race for his signature.
That would certainly make sense, but the Olympic Games are a factor too.
Doue has been called up by France for the Olympics and he will be in action from the 24th July until – potentially – the 10th August.
Tottenham may want to get Doue signed, sealed and delivered before he heads off to the Olympics.
That would give Spurs boss Postecoglou some time to work with Doue before the Premier League campaign rather than having him arrive in August and playing catch-up.
The coming days will therefore be vital and Tottenham will hope to add Doue after securing fellow teenager Gray.
