Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly placed Djed Spence on the transfer list, just a year after signing him for Antonio Conte.
That’s according to The Evening Standard, which claims that Spence, Hugo Lloris, Tanguy Ndombele and Joe Rodon have all been transfer-listed.
Spurs have enjoyed an encouraging transfer window so far as they bid to re-shape Ange Postecoglou’s squad in his image.
Tottenham have already snapped up Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison, Manor Solomon and Ashley Phillips.
Postecoglou is also closing in on the signings of Micky van de Ven and Alejo Veliz, with the Standard claiming that both players are due for medicals at Hotspur Way today.
The Aussie boss will undoubtedly be aware of the need to trim a bloated squad before the window slams shut on September 1.
And it seems that Djed Spence could be one of the players who heads out the door on a permanent basis.

Tottenham have transfer-listed Spence
Spence only made the £20 million switch to Spurs last summer as he joined from Middlesborough.
The 22-year-old struggled to nail down a place in Tottenham’s squad under Antonio Conte and was limited to a handful of cameo appearances from the bench.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Stade Rennais in Ligue 1. But after a promising start, he quickly lost his place as a starter.
And The Evening Standard reports that Tottenham are ready to offload the Englishman after signing him fro Conte last summer.

The Spurs News View
Spence has been slightly unfortunate since making the switch to Spurs last summer.
The wing-back impressed at Nottingham Forest during the 2021-22 campaign and seemed like the perfect fit for Conte’s system. But he’s barely had an opportunity at Tottenham and in truth, he doesn’t seem well-suited to Postecoglou’s preferred set-up.
Of course, Spurs are also well-stocked at right-back with Emerson Royal catching the eye during pre-season, while Pedro Porro was signed for a sizeable fee from Sporting Lisbon.
It would probably be for the best if Spence moves on this summer, but you have to wonder how things could have worked out if he had got an opportunity under Conte.
