Tottenham Hotspur have been active in this January transfer window.

Spurs made one of the biggest signings of this window in the shape of Conor Gallagher, while Souza has also arrived as a defensive reinforcement.

However, Spurs need to add more if they are to improve under Thomas Frank.

To say Spurs have been underwhelming this season would be an understatement, and more bodies are needed through the door to help turn things around.

Tottenham have been linked with deadline day additions. Jhon Duran is a target, while Raheem Sterling has been discussed too.

Andy Robertson was linked to Spurs earlier this month, and according to Sky Sports’ Vinny O’Connor, Tottenham have made a deadline day call about Robertson.

Tottenham make late call for Andy Robertson

O’Connor shared an update from Liverpool.

The journalist noted that no further outgoings are expected at Anfield on deadline day, but he did note that a late call has come in from Tottenham regarding the £8m man once again.

However, that approach has been knocked back, and a deal isn’t expected to be done.

“And we’re certainly not expecting any further outgoings from Liverpool today. We do understand there’s been a check call from Spurs to see if the situation regarding Andy Robertson has changed. That hasn’t changed, and nor would Curtis Jones be allowed to go. We know of that interest from Inter Milan as well,” O’Connor said.

Andy Robertson could join Tottenham this summer

Robertson to Spurs may be off the cards on deadline day, but a summer move is still possible.

The Scot is heading into the final six months of his contract at Liverpool, and with no new deal on the cards, a free transfer is on the horizon.

Robertson was keen to join Tottenham this month, and while a transfer isn’t set to happen on deadline day, it’s still very possible that Robertson becomes a Spurs player in a few months’ time.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that Thomas Frank will still be at Spurs come the end of the season, so it is hard to predict what the club’s transfer strategy will be as we head into the summer.
