Tottenham are gearing up for a busy summer transfer window that will see further changes made to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
Spurs are off the back of an improved campaign, with the side landing a Europa League place while implementing their new brand of football.
The Lilywhites started brightly but as the season went on, it became clear that there’s still work to do, despite the positive trajectory.
Postecoglou will be tasked with transforming the squad yet again, moving it closer to resembling his ideal options.
The summer transfer window offers the best chance to do that, with the Tottenham manager looking to add some balance with incomings and outgoings.

Joe Rodon transfer interest
One player who has been touted with a permanent exit from Tottenham is defender Joe Rodon.
Rodon spent the past season on loan with Leeds United, in the hopes of guiding them back to the Premier League.
The centre-back impressed in Yorkshire, becoming an everpresent force for a Leeds outfit that narrowly missed out on a return to the top flight.
“I’m totally convinced of his [Rodon’s] potential and his quality as a player,” Daniel Farke said in October 2023 after landing the defender.
“That’s why I was so greedy to bring him in. We know he makes us better as a group.”
However, with a return to Elland Road appearing unlikely, it leaves a decision over the future of Rodon at Spurs.
Fortunately for the Lilywhites, it appears as though there are some interested parties following his loan displays.
The Daily Mail reports that several Premier League clubs are monitoring the future of the 26-year-old this summer.
Rodon has one year left on his deal at Hotspur Way, following his transfer to the club in 2020 under Jose Mourinho.
It remains to be seen whether that will become firm interest and exactly how much Tottenham will demand for a player out of favour.
Tottenham squad transfer priorities
The summer transfer window provides yet another juggling act for Tottenham to get the balance of the squad right for the season ahead.
Some of their wantaway stars will need to be shipped on, hoping to recoup some transfer fee along the way.
While an exit is required for a few in the squad, there is also the challenge of ensuring there are adequate backup options for a busy season ahead.
That’s all while bolstering the first-team options at the disposal of Postecoglou and giving a chance to the academy stars too.
It displays the tough balancing act at hand for those making the decisions at the top of the hierarchy heading into a busy summer transfer period.
