Tottenham Hotspur will have to break Besiktas’ record transfer fee if they are to bring in Semih Kilicsoy in the summer.
It has been an impressive 2023/24 campaign for the Turkish striker who is alreading finding himself being eyed by some big clubs.
And his price could continue to rise if he is to enjoy an encouraging Euros tournament with Turkey in Group F.
Spurs interested in Kilicsoy
According to a report from Haberturk, the 18-year-old is already catching the eyes of Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund.
However, his impressive form is likely to see Besiktas demand a big fee in the summer if they are to allow the striker to leave.
He is expected to play for his national side at Euro 2024 where he will be able to test himself against the 2016 winners in Portugal.
But a promising tournament in Germany may also see his price rise significantly as his talents will be displayed on the huge international stage.
Other reports from Turkey have already claimed the player is beginning to learn English after receiving interest from Spurs.
Postecoglou eyeing new striker
In recent months, there have not been too many question marks surrounding the need for a Harry Kane replacement given the form shown by Richarlison.
The Brazilian has returned nine goals in his last 10 Premier League appearances, however, he has failed to score in his last two games.
Although it is far from a disaster, it has seen the question raised again as to whether he is quite good enough to be Ange Postecoglou’s long-term striker.
And The Spurs News has even been told the club would consider selling the 26-year-old if they are able to turn a profit on him.
But whether Tottenham would be willing to put their trust in an 18-year-old to lead the line would be another question.
Kilicsoy has enjoyed a promising campaign where he has been able to net eight league goals for Besiktas, but it would be a huge step up for such a young player.
