Thomas Frank is under immense pressure at Tottenham as his first season in charge is not panning out as he would have wanted.

After Tottenham’s 3-2 loss against Bournemouth, they find themselves in 14th place and are once again on course to miss out on their targets in the Premier League.

Frank is also dealing with an injury crisis and a fanbase that does not seem to be fully on board with his tactics.

Tottenham interest in Michael Kayode proves Thomas Frank retains support of the hierarchy

While managers usually do not get sacked during transfer windows, both Manchester United and Chelsea have parted ways with their managers despite their teams being in the top six.

Spurs are not known to make hasty decisions apart from the time they parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo, but Frank will be aware that this run of performances cannot continue.

He will be relieved, however, that he continues to retain the support of the hierarchy, as they are willing to back him this winter.

Frank shared a good working relationship with Michael Kayode at Brentford, and according to Caught Offside, Spurs are considering signing him.

This is proof that Tottenham have made a decision not to sack the Dane, as of now, and give him the players he wants in January.

Who is Spurs target Michael Kayode?

Kayode is a right-back for Brentford and has shown great maturity despite only being 21.

Apart from Spurs, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Newcastle, PSG and Inter Milan are all keen on securing his services.

He only joined the Bees last season from Fiorentina and has hit the ground running, becoming one of the league’s best young defenders.

Initially, Brentford signed him on loan, but given how well he did, made the deal permanent for a fee between £17million and £18million.

Now, his valuation will have soared and it remains to be seen how much the Bees demand for his services.

They are now in the reckoning to qualify for Europe and that may factor into their demands as he is one of their key players.
