Tottenham could be waving goodbye to one of their players this summer.
That man is currently on loan at Manchester United – it’s Sergio Reguilon. According to numerous reports around the club, United are extremely happy with him so far, with the feeling allegedly mutual.
The Spaniard signed for Tottenham back in 2020 from Real Madrid for £25m, but never really lived up to expectations at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ange Postecoglou was more than fine with letting him leave on loan to the Red Devils – which could easily mean he’s absolutely capable of letting him go on a permanent.

Ten Hag impressed with Reguilon
Manchester United’s head coach, Erik ten Hag, was forced into acquiring a left-back on loan on deadline day thanks to an injury crisis at the club – with Reguilon being the chosen star.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Dutchman is very happy with his services so far.
“Man Utd’s coaches are very happy with Sergio Reguilon both on and off the pitch,” Romano revealed.
“He has a fantastic attitude, a very good relationship with his new teammates, and understands Ten Hag’s ideas.”
Reguilon himself has also stated that he’s happy in Manchester, already feeling very settled with his new coach and teammates.
“He [Ten Hag] wanted me to come and I wanted to come here too. It was all very easy. We have been speaking in training about what he wants from his left-back. I think we share the same philosophy. He likes hard workers and I love working hard.”
Gone in January?
This could mean a permanent move is acquired in January for the 26-year-old.
According to The Athletic, United do not have a buy option in the defender’s loan – so negotiations will likely ensue, but this could be a goodbye to North London for Sergio.
