Tottenham Hotspur wrapped up the signing of Archie Gray last week but are reportedly closing in on another addition to Ange Postecoglou’s squad.
Tottenham Hotspur players are back for pre-season training and a couple of new faces are involved.
Lucas Bergvall and new signing Archie Gray are starting their Tottenham careers whilst Timo Werner is back for another loan spell.
Ange Postecoglou will be happy with business so far but Tottenham do need other additions this summer.
Europa League action is back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Spurs boss Postecoglou will want a squad to cope with the extra workload.
Another creative midfielder to support James Maddison would be ideal, especially if Giovani Lo Celso moves on, and one name won’t go away.

Tottenham Hotspur ‘finalising’ Sebastian Szymanski move
The Turkish press appear to be convinced that Tottenham are moving for Fenerbahce midfielder Sebastian Szymanski.
Reports in April suggested that Tottenham were ready to offer around £17million for Szymanski ahead of the summer transfer window.
The rumours returned in June as the Turkish media claimed that Szymanski had agreed a move to Tottenham.
A Spor in Turkiye now claim that Tottenham are ‘finalising’ a deal to sign the Polish playmaker.
The offer on the table is thought to be €25million (£21million), which Fenerbahce are happy with as they look to invest in new signings under Jose Mourinho.
We can understand some level of interest in Szymanski.
The 25-year-old racked up 13 goals and 19 assists for Fenerbahce last season, showing outstanding creativity from attacking midfield.
Szymanski may be ready for the next step in his career, but one factor here is making us pause a little.
The reports have only emerged from Turkiye; from the start to right now, the rumours have been coming from the Turkish media.
The reliable media sources around Tottenham have yet to back up the claims of interest in Szymanski, never mind a deal being close.
That leaves us to question whether Tottenham really are that keen on Szymanski – even if another playmaker is on the radar.
Szymanski has impressed in Poland, Russia, the Netherlands and Turkiye but the Premier League is a major step up.
The attacking midfielder also didn’t exactly shine at Euro 2024, playing just 113 minutes of action in the group stage.
Szymanski becoming Tottenham’s next priority just doesn’t seem to add up to us and whilst he may be on the radar, we would be surprised if a deal is done any time soon.
