Kyle Walker continues to keep tabs on his former club Tottenham, and has reacted to their recent transfer business.

The English right-back is currently plying his trade at Burnley, where he is in the midst of a relegation battle.

After Walker left Tottenham, he achieved success at Manchester City, winning every tournament they competed in and also the treble.

Kyle Walker sends message to Conor Gallagher

Kyle Walker reacted to Conor Gallagher’s move to Tottenham by sending him a message on Instagram.

The two have been part of the Three Lions side and are understood to share a good friendship off the pitch as well.

Walker wrote: “All the best mate” on a post Gallagher uploaded in a Spurs jersey after finalising his move.

Who should Conor Gallagher replace against West Ham?

Which position is Gallagher going to play?

It initially seemed that Aston Villa had done all the due diligence and were on course to sign the midfielder from Atletico Madrid.

However, Tottenham, who had retained an interest in Gallagher, successfully pulled off a last-gasp hijack to bring him to North London.

The Lilywhites paid the Spanish giants £34.6million for the 25-year-old and he has signed a contract until the end of the 2030/31 season.

Why Gallagher is the right player at the right time for Tottenham

For a Spurs side that has been battling injury issues for the last two seasons, the former Chelsea midfielder represents the perfect option.

His fitness record has been second to none, as his only notable absence over the last three seasons was due to illness.

Apart from that, he has been fit and available, despite playing in such a high-intensity role in a league as combative as the Premier League.

While adding solidity out of possession, he is also pretty adept with the ball at his feet and is more creative than people give him credit for.

In his final season at Chelsea, under Mauricio Pochettino, Gallagher had the second-most chances created and played a pivotal role in guiding them to the top six.

It remains to be seen if he can achieve the same success at Spurs and play a key role in their ascent up the Premier League table.
