Tottenham have been offered some optimism ahead of the summer transfer window after a reported target has turned down a new deal with his current club.
Over recent months, it has been reported Bournemouth centre-back Lloyd Kelly is a player of interest in north London.
And it is now being suggested that the 25-year-old has knocked back several contract offers from the Cherries with just months remaining on his current deal.

The centre-back’s future on the south coast has been cast into doubt with a number of clubs said to be showing an interest.
Football Insider claims the defender has now rejected several contract offers from Bournemouth which makes him able to sign a pre-contract with a foreign side ahead of the summer.
Alongside clubs in the Bundesliga, the report claims both AC Milan and Juventus are keeping tabs on the Englishman.
But the report claims Lilywhites hold a long-term admiration for the defender having seen a £20m bid knocked back by the Cherries last summer.
Kelly’s game time on the south coast has been restricted somewhat this season as a result of injury, but he has been a key member in Bournemouth’s side when fit; with former manager Gary O’Neil hailing him as ‘incredible‘.
Spurs have spent heavily on new centre-backs over the last couple of years with big arrivals like Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven and, more recently, Radu Dragusin.
But the departures of Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier have certainly freed up some room for potential additions and Kelly could prove attractive given he is set to be a free agent in the summer.
Regular first-team football may not necessarily be guaranteed for Kelly in N17, but it may be a potential move that would appeal to the likes of Ange Posteocoglou and Daniel Levy.
