Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez has revealed how much Tottenham could sign transfer target Albert Gudmundsson for this summer.
It comes as Spurs continue to be heavily linked with a move for the 26-year-old in the upcoming transfer market. The Icelandic international can play on either wing as well as a second striker, offering plenty of versatility.
In 22 Serie A appearances this season, Gudmundsson has scored nine goals and assisted twice so far. His performances have played a huge role in the side being comfortably mid-table, rather than fighting off relegation threats.
It has led to plenty of interest from other clubs, with recent reports linking the forward to Tottenham and a number of other clubs.

Albert Gudmundsson transfer
According to reports from Calciomercato, Tottenham are following a move for Gudmundsson for the summer transfer window. They aren’t alone in that interest though as Premier League rivals Newcastle are also in the race, while Italian giants Juventus, Napoli and AC Milan are also linked.
If any of those teams do wish to make their approach in the summer, then the Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez has dropped a clear hint on how much it could take to complete a deal.
Albert Gudmundsson price
Blazquez said on the future of Gudmundsson, via Calciomercato: “If I give him away, I lose an important part. If 35million [Euros] arrive this summer, we will think about it. The players are transitory. Look at Atalanta: to create competitive teams, you also have to sell. There’s nothing wrong with that, you have to know how to find the right players.”
Converting that €35million into pound sterling, the cost for Tottenham would be roughly £30million. That could prove to be an entry point that many teams are willing to bid at, given the inflated market in recent years.
Tottenham are no strangers in dealing with Genoa either, having recently signed Radu Dragusin from the Italian side.

Tottenham transfer decision
Tottenham have a huge summer ahead, whether they finish in the top four or not, as it will be crucial to keep building the squad with the right profile for Ange Postecoglou‘s style of play. Versatility is a key attribute that the manager looks for.
However, when it comes to the forward areas, perhaps there should be a look towards a one-on-one specialist, which would suit the style well.
