Tottenham Hotspur advisor Fabio Paratici is now willing to make a move in the summer for a player he really likes the look of.

Ange Postecoglou’s men picked up another three points in their hunt for a spot inside the top four on the weekend.

But it is apparent sights are already being set beyond the end of the current campaign with the summer targets already being identified.

And it seems as if the Italian advisor is now wanting to personally step up the club’s efforts for one of their reported summer targets.

Fabio Paratici wanting to move in for Albert Gudmundsson

The summer transfer window is going to see Tottenham bolster their side with quality additions having already made a number of summer and January signings.

Players like Micky van de Ven, James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario have provided Spurs with some impressive options from the starting XI.

And now it seems as if Spurs could look to make some slight adjustments to their side over the summer and strengthen their depth.

According to reports out of Italy, Paratici is keen on the Iceland international Albert Gudmundsson and the Italian is keen to beat competition from Italy for his signature.

It is suggested the likes of Inter Milan are only able to offer Genoa an initial loan deal for the 26-year-old who is rated at £34m.

What Daniel Levy thinks about Paratici after his ban

The north London club appointed Paratici back in the summer of 2021, however, he has since been banned for financial irregularities during his time at Juventus.

However, he has been working behind the scenes for Spurs in an unofficial role for the club as an advisor when it comes to transfers.

And it has to be said, the Lilywhites have made some excellent additions since his arrival back in 2021.

The report from Italy also comments on Daniel Levy’s thoughts about the 51-year-old with the Spurs chairman said to be impressed by the signings the club has made.

Serie A has been a market which Spurs have certainly exploited in recent years with Cristian Romero, Vicario, Destiny Udogie, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski all proving to be excellent additions.

Tottenham’s excellent track record in signing players from the Italian top flight has to put a lot of confidence in Paratici’s judgement of the Genoa forward.

And the recent deal to sign Radu Dragusin and loan Djed Spence will see the Lilywhites hold a positive relationship with the Serie A outfit.

Gudmundsson has now returned 13 goals and four assists for Genoa this season having played as a second striker.

But his versatility to play across the front line is also likely to be something which has impressed those at Spurs.
