Fabio Paratici is now helping another club to sign ‘unstoppable’ Tottenham target

Former Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici is reportedly working in the background to help Lazio snap up Wilfried Zaha on a free transfer this summer.

That’s according to FootballTransfers, with the outlet claiming that Zaha is leaning towards a move to Lazio after agreeing terms with several clubs.

Paratici was forced to resign from his role as Tottenham’s managing director of football back in April after receiving a worldwide ban from FIFA.

The Italian received the punishment for his role in alleged false accounting at his former club Juventus.

Despite leaving Tottenham, Football.London reported last month that Paratici is still helping to guide Spurs in the transfer market on a ‘consultancy basis’ after FIFA lifted parts of his ban.

And it seems that Paratici is helping Lazio with their attempts to sign Wilfried Zaha – a player who has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham.

Paratici helping Lazio sign Zaha

London World reported back in March that Tottenham were growing confident of snapping up Zaha on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old has officially left Crystal Palace after his contract expired at Selhurst Park.

And FootballTransfers claims he’s leaning towards joining Lazio now, with Paratici working in the background on a deal.

It’s noted that the winger is weighing up his options, but Lazio is his ‘favoured destination’ as things stand.

Zaha was labelled an ‘unstoppable’ talent during his time at Palace as he starred for the Eagles.

The Ivory Coast international has been long-linked with a move to Spurs, as well as a host of other top clubs.

While Zaha would be an excellent addition to the Spurs squad, it’s difficult to see Tottenham going for him now.

Reports have suggested that Manor Solomon is nearing a switch to Tottenham, which would all but likely rule out a move for Zaha.

Ange Postecoglou has plenty of attacking options at his disposal already and you’d like to think that Spurs will switch their focus to bolstering his defence next.
