Club set to terminate Tottenham player’s loan in January, manager is unhappy with his ‘attitude’

Galatasaray are reportedly set to terminate Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele’s loan deal in January.

That’s according to Turkish outlet FotoSpor, which claims that Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk is unhappy with Ndombele’s ‘attitude’.

Ndombele joined the Turkish giants on a season-long loan deal over the summer in the weeks after the English transfer window slammed shut.

The 26-year-old had failed to impress Ange Postecoglou during pre-season, despite initially being given the chance to train with the first team.

The Frenchman had returned from an underwhelming loan spell at Napoli where he failed to nail down a place in Luciano Spalletti’s title-winning side.

It’s fair to say that Ndombele has consistently underwhelmed during his time at Spurs after joining for a club-record fee of £63 million back in 2019.

And while many Tottenham fans may have hoped to see the midfielder excel during his time in Turkey in order to secure a permanent move, it seems he’s failing to impress.

Galatasaray to terminate Ndombele’s loan deal

FotoSport reports that Galatasaray are looking to replace Ndombele during the January transfer window.

Indeed, the outlet claims Ndombele’s loan move will be terminated as they bid to sign AZ Alkmaar’s Dani de Wit.

Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk has already ‘showed the door’ to the Spurs ace as he’s unhappy with his ‘reluctant attitude’ and unprofessional behaviour.

If the latest reports from Turkey are true, it may be time for Spurs to cut their losses on Ndombele.

The club has tried and failed to offload the midfielder on a permanent basis over the past few transfer windows.

Ndombele will have just 18 months left on his contract come January and it seems highly unlikely at this stage that Tottenham will be able to recoup anything close to the huge fee they paid for him.
