Ange Postecoglou seriously has to keep tabs on potential January target Serhou Guirassy.

After a fine start to the season, the Guinea forward is catching the eye of the entirety of Europe. He’s scoring goals for fun for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

The 27-year-old is the most in-form forward in the world right now and tops the Bundesliga charts with a whopping 13 goals already.

This trumps even Harry Kane, who obviously departed from North London for Bayern Munich in the summer.

Guirassy is breaking records in Germany

Guirassy’s start to the season has been so good it’s broken the record for most goals scored at this stage of the season. This is a Bundesliga record since it began 60 years ago.

This comes after a hat-trick at the weekend as Guirassy bagged all three in a 3-1 victory over Wolfsburg.

“Thirteen goals in seven games – it’s unbelievable,” the forward told club media. “I’m benefitting from my team-mates, who keep setting me up well. It’s just a lot of fun to play for this team in front of these fans.”

He’s already being linked to North London…

Thanks to his fine form and Tottenham’s need for a number nine, he’s already being linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Transfer insider Dean Jones wrote in a Give Me Sport column, “There are early observations being made of Stuttgart frontman Serhou Guirassy, though.

“The club are determined to take their time over finding a proper Kane replacement, and while they eventually will do so, it might not be until the end of the season.”

If he keeps up his form, others will surely be in for him, so Tottenham desperately need to keep an eye on him.
