Tottenham Hotspur have been seriously hit hard with injury woes over recent weeks.

In a season that started so promisingly for Ange Postecoglou‘s side, with an unbeaten start to life in the Premier League – November has certainly been a month to forget.

The Tottenham Hotspur squad has lost three games on the bounce – a stark contrast to the dizzying highs they felt earlier in this campaign.

A lot of that has been down to the plethora of injuries they’ve faced – particularly to key members of the squad.

Tottenham Hotspur’s XI of injured players

Spurs have that many injuries in their current side, that they could genuinely field an XI that would rival Premier League clubs.

Between the sticks is Alfie Whiteman, who is probably the weakest link in this Spurs side.

Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero and then youngster Ashley Phillips make up the backline.

Pape Matar Sarr and Rodrigo Bentancur make up the two central midfielders – with the latter being the most recent addition to the Tottenham medical room.

Long-term absentees Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic assume the wide roles. Then star summer signing James Maddison in the attacking midfield role.

Finishing the full injured XI up top are Richarlison and Manor Solomon.

Has there been a side unluckier than Spurs in the Premier League this season regarding injuries?

Tottenham aren’t the only side to face horrific injury problems this season.

Premier League clubs have all been hit with a mass of injury problems. This could certainly have something to do with the insane amount of fixtures played in short spaces of time.

Manchester United and Newcastle United are two clubs also heavily affected – but Tottenham are arguably off worse.

They’ve only really had to worry about Premier League football – yet have suffered the same, if not worse fate. We wish all the players involved a speedy recovery.
