Despite an encouraging debut season for Ange Postecoglou, there will be mixed feelings at Tottenham Hotspur after wrapping up the campaign with a 3-0 win at Sheffield United.
Spurs secured a spot in the Europa League for next season and despite missing out on Champions League football, there will be plenty of positives for Ange Postecoglou to reflect back on.
The likes of Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven and Destiny Udogie all starred in what was their first taste of Premier League football.
But inevitably, there were some disappointing performances over the course of the campaign and many face uncertain futures at Tottenham.
The Spurs News has rated each player who has featured at least five times for Tottenham this season.

Guglielmo Vicario – 8
A very impressive debut campaign for Vicario after arriving from Empoli last summer.
The Italian’s shot-stopping and ability with the ball at his feet has caught the eye. But he has some work to do when it comes to commanding his area from set-piece situations.
Pedro Porro – 8
After a difficult start to life at Tottenham, Pedro Porro is one of many players who has benefited from Postecoglou’s arrival.
The 24-year-old’s incredible passing makes him a great fit for that inverted full-back role and he’s contributed with four goals and seven assists this season.
Porro’s defending can leave plenty to be desired at times but he’s even made improvements on that front over the past year.
Emerson Royal – 5
Unlike Porro, Emerson Royal hasn’t exactly benefited from Postecoglou’s system. The Brazilian isn’t suited to playing as an inverted full-back and has often struggled in Porro and Destiny Udogie’s absence.
With that being said, he has proven useful due to his ability to cover across the backline.
Ben Davies – 6
Ben Davies is another who isn’t suited to Postecoglou’s demands of his full-backs. But the Welshman stepped up brilliantly at centre-back while Van de Ven was sidelined.
Having started just 11 league games this season, it’s difficult to hand the 31-year-old a higher rating.
Radu Dragusin – 6
Following his arrival from Genoa in January, Radu Dragusin struggled for minutes due to the return of Van de Ven and Cristian Romero.
But the Romanian has impressed when called upon, particularly in the past two games with Van de Ven moving out to left-back.
Cristian Romero – 9
Barring his red card against Chelsea back in November, the Argentine has been ever-reliable for Postecoglou in the heart of Spurs’ defence.
The extra responsibility of being named vice-captain last summer seems to have benefited Romero massively.

Micky van de Ven – 9
Voted as Tottenham’s Player of the Season, Van de Ven has enjoyed an exceptional debut campaign in north London.
The Dutchman has quickly become an integral part of Postecoglou’s side and at 23, he’s only likely to improve.
Destiny Udogie – 8
Another player who’s hit the ground running at Spurs. Udogie arrived as a wing-back but has taken to his new full-back role with ease.
It was a real shame to see the youngster miss the final six games through injury after such a promising debut season.
Yves Bissouma – 7
Yves Bissouma starred for the first eight games of the season but a red card at Luton seemed to derail his campaign.
He’s shown glimpses of his early-season form since but it’s been a stop-start campaign for the Mali international.
Rodrigo Bentancur – 5
Another player who’s endured a frustrating season. Rodrigo Bentancur returned from an ACL injury in November only to pick up an ankle injury in his first start for nine months.
Recent performances may offer some encouragement that he’ll be back to his brilliant best next season though.
Pape Matar Sarr – 8
A superb campaign for Pape Matar Sarr in central midfield. The 21-year-old provides real energy in the middle of the park and has also popped up with six goal involvements.

James Maddison – 8
Like Bissouma, James Maddison enjoyed a stunning start to the campaign – having a hand in eight goals in his first 11 league games for Spurs.
An ankle injury picked up in November spoiled his momentum but he registered two assists in his final three games of the season.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 5
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has put in some decent performances from the bench this season but is another who doesn’t suit Postecoglou’s style of football. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see him head out the door this summer.
Giovani Lo Celso – 6
The Argentine stepped up well in Maddison’s absence between November and January. He’s probably unfortunate to have not been given a real chance since.
Oliver Skipp – 4
Having started just five times in the league this season, Oliver Skipp is another who’s struggled for minutes.
However, a couple of promising displays at left-back may indicate he could have a future at the club under Postecoglou.
Dejan Kulusevski – 7
It’s been a mixed season for Dejan Kulusevski. The Swede was undroppable for the first few months of Postecoglou’s reign but has found himself in and out of the team in recent months.
Eight goals and three assists is a decent return but he is likely to have to improve on those numbers moving forward.
Brennan Johnson – 8
Despite early criticism of Brennan Johnson, he’s enjoyed a promising first year at Spurs. The Welshman finished the season with 10 assists and five goals to his name.
There is plenty of room for improvement but the 22-year-old could become an important part of the Postecoglou era.

Timo Werner – 5
Snapped up as a stop-gap signing while Spurs were struggling with injuries, Timo Werner’s form surprised a few after he arrived.
The German managed two goals and three assists in 13 league appearances but a thigh injury ended his season ahead of schedule.
Bryan Gil – 2
Bryan Gil has managed just two starts in all competitions under Postecoglou and failed to register a single goal involvement in 12 appearances this term.
Manor Solomon – 2
This could be viewed as slightly harsh on Manor Solomon considering he registered two assists in his first five league games for Tottenham.
Yet, despite an impressive start, a meniscus injury has led to him making just six appearances all season. His rating would have likely been much higher had he been available.
Heung-min Son – 9
The Tottenham skipper has endured a difficult end to the season but remains Spurs’ main man in the final third.
17 goals and 10 assists in 37 games represents a brilliant return for the South Korean star.
Richarlison – 8
Richarlison really stepped up while Son was away at the Asian Cup. The Brazilian bagged 11 Premier League goals but is another whose season was disrupted by injuries.
