Ange Postecoglou simply has to give Giovani Lo Celso a run in the Tottenham Hotspur side now James Maddison is injured.
Tottenham fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat at Wolves after conceding two goals in stoppage time. It looked set to go down as a gritty away performance from Spurs as they led from the 2nd minute right up until the 91st.
But Ange Postecoglou’s men were way below the usual standards they had set this season as they struggled to create opportunities in the final third.
Of course, that is largely down to the absence of James Maddison. The midfielder is set to be out until the new year after picking up an ankle injury against Chelsea.
Postecoglou opted for a midfield three of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma at Molineux on Saturday.
And in our view, Giovani Lo Celso should get an opportunity after Saturday’s defeat.

Postecoglou has to start Lo Celso now Maddison is injured
Lo Celso is yet to start a Premier League game under Postecoglou after picking up an injury earlier in the season.
The 27-year-old has made just three appearances in the league this term and that is largely down to Maddison’s excellent form. But it feels like the right time for Lo Celso to get a run in the side after Saturday’s display.
While Bissouma, Sarr and Hojbjerg offer Tottenham more security in the middle of the park, the lack of cutting edge at Wolves was there for all to see.

Lo Celso is the most natural replacement for Maddison in the current Tottenham squad and he impressed after coming off the bench on Saturday.
Of course, the Argentine has failed to impress in a Spurs shirt after joining from Real Betis in 2019.
Yet, he caught the eye in pre-season as he netted two goals in three games and he seems well-suited to Postecoglou’s demands.
