Tottenham are set to complete the signing of Jan Paul van Hecke with a fee agreed with Brighton.

It’s not really been a big secret this transfer deal, with Roberto De Zerbi keen to reunite with the defender who served him so well at Brighton.

👀With 12 months left on his contract, how much should we pay at the most to sign the £70m-rated Jan Paul van Hecke?

Tottenham are going to fork out £52 million, which seems a lot for a player who has just 12 months remaining on his deal, although it seems that what De Zerbi wants, he gets at the moment.

However, the signing of the Dutchman might not be all sweetness and light, with one player now questioning his future.

Luka Vuskovic keen to leave Tottenham

According to TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, Vuskovic is considering walking away from Tottenham this summer.

It’s believed that the Croatian defender is concerned about his possible game time with Van Hecke coming in and the addition of Marcos Senesi.

Vuskovic is on the back of a stunning season in the Bundesliga with Hamburg and it’s no surprise that he’s keen to continue playing regular football.

It’s believed that the youngster isn’t happy at the prospect of going out on loan again and wants to start playing regularly and putting down some roots at a club.

Brighton have been linked with a move for Vuskovic and have already seen a bid of £35 million rejected by Tottenham, who consider him to be worth a lot more.

The 19-year-old has never actually played for Tottenham at a senior level since signing from Hajduk Split and a wave of new defensive signings could now spell the end for him in North London.

Vuskovic has a seriously bright future ahead of him, and cashing in on him this summer might see Tottenham rue the decision further down the line
