Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has left the president of Fenerbahce shocked.

The Frenchman once again finds himself out on loan having failed to impress Ange Postecoglou in pre-season.

But his reported salary at Galatasaray has left the president of one of their rivals left stunned.

Tanguy Ndombele salary

Tottenham signed the 27-year-old back in 2019 for a club record fee of £63m from Lyon.

Naturally, he was put on huge wages in north London which are believed to have seen him earn around £200k-per-week.

However, a recent report from Fotospor claims the midfielder is earning €3.13m (£2.67m) in Turkey per season.

And the Fenerbahce president, Ali Koc, is now claiming those figures are not close to what he is actually earning.

He said: “They’ve supposedly stolen a lot of transfers from us this season. They shouted it out loud and announced it. There are four footballers they transferred, the prices in the official contract cannot be real. The money they paid to the footballer and the money written in the contract are different.”

Tanguy Ndombele’s Tottenham future

Going into the summer, the Frenchman will have just one year remaining on his current deal with Tottenham.

It has been a hugely underwhelming move for all parties.

Perhaps even more so for Spurs considering the amount of money which they have invested in the 27-year-old overall.

But they simply have not seen a return from that money with just 91 appearances to his name since 2019.

It is clear this is a player who is not in Postecoglou’s plans for the future.

When the Australian has the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma who put their all into each game, there is no competition.

However, it will be interesting to see if any club even shows any interest in Ndombele this summer.

The midfielder has now spent numerous seasons out on loan with other clubs and none have looked to purchase him.

He has certainly done himself no favours over his time at Spurs and who knows what lies in wait for him.
