Tottenham left it late to secure a point in their Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday, although their manager Vitor Pereira was less than impressed with the home side’s performance on the day.
Joao Palhinha found the net with seconds to go to rescue a draw against a side who before the game had failed to get a point on the board this season.
New signing Xavi Simons struggled against Wolves, as he failed to make any real impact again after starting on the left of attack.
Thomas Frank rested Pedro Porro for the game, perhaps with an eye on Tuesday’s return to the Champions League.

Vitor Pereira slams Tottenham after draw with Wolves
Despite plenty of talent on display from the hosts, they struggled to create any real chances in front of goal, and Palhinha’s expressive celebration after scoring perhaps showed the relief his side had at getting a draw.
Pereira praised Simons and Mohammed Kudus after the game, however he was left disappointed at the result despite it being his first point of the season.
The Wolves boss told Football London that he believed his side were the ones who were looking to win the game, and sees the game as two points dropped for Wolves.
He said: “We lost two points because the team showed they came here to win the game. The first half was difficult but the second half we deserved to win the game. Then from nothing they scored.”

Frank will be worried at Premier League inconsistency
Despite Spurs sitting in a very healthy position in the league table, their strong showings have been matched by some equally underwhelming performances.
Guglielmo Vicario has been criticised on numerous occasions this season, and he didn’t cover himself in glory for Wolves’ goal.
While they can look back on the glorious win over high-flying Manchester City, defeat to Bournemouth and now a draw against bottom of the league has been a reminder that there is still plenty of work to be done.
They now have the opportunity to maintain their 100% record in the Champions League when they face familiar opposition in the form of Bodo/Glimt, after defeating them in last season’s Europa League campaign.
