Spurs face off against Leicester City in the first game of the 2024/25 season.

Ange Postecoglou begins his second campaign as Tottenham manager with a trip to the King Power Stadium.

Having impressed during his first twelve months in North London, the Aussie will want to go one better this time around and build upon his side’s fifth-place finish last season.

First up for Posteocglou’s men is Steve Cooper’s Leicester City, who are fresh off the back of an impressive 98-point Championship campaign.

Having lost their manager Enzo Maresca to Chelsea, the former Premier League champions turned to former Nottingham Forest boss Cooper, who will now be tasked with keeping the Foxes in the top flight.

Tottenham take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Monday 19th August.

The match is scheduled for an 8:00pm (BST) kick-off.

Is Tottenham v Leicester on TV?

Supporters will be glad to hear that Tottenham’s clash with Leicester is set to be broadcasted live on Sky Sports, with their Monday Night Football coverage set to start from 6:30pm.

Sky Sports subscribers will also be able to live stream the game via Sky Go.

Team news

Spurs boss Postecoglou told reporters on Thursday, “everyone else is in a really good place” when questioned on his squad’s fitness, revealing both Richarlison and Fraser Forster have just returned to full training.

Tottenham’s Leicester trip may also see the eagerly awaited debut of Dominic Solanke following his £65m move from Bournemouth.

The Lilywhites however will be without Yves Bissouma, who has been suspended by the club after a video surfaced online of the midfielder allegedly consuming laughing gas.

Leicester meanwhile could be without Conor Coady, Patskon Daka and Jamie Vardy, who are all said to be struggling with fitness ahead of the new season.

Spurs enter the match strong favourites and it would be no surprise to see Postecoglou’s men get off to a flyer against a newly-promoted side.
