Ange Postecoglou on Eric Dier claim

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has hit back at claims from Eric Dier over suggestions that his training sessions don’t include tactical work. It came as the Spurs defender, who is on loan with Bayern Munich, reflected on his time at the club.

Speaking to the press, Postecoglou said: “It’s probably something you’d have to ask Eric, I don’t know what you mean by tactical work. Everything we do is geared on how we are going to play our football, so for me by extension is tactical work.

“Whether that’s on us, or whether it’s on the opposition. In fact I would probably say we don’t do anything apart from tactical work.”

Timo Werner transfer decision

Tottenham have devised a plan surrounding the future of forward Timo Werner, heading into the summer transfer window. The German international is currently on-loan from RB Leipzig, following his switch in January.

Werner has bagged two goals and three assists, with some impressive displays in a Spurs shirt so far. There is an option in his loan that could allow for a permanent transfer in the summer, worth just £15million.

However, according to transfer guru Graeme Bailey for HITC Football, the current plan for Tottenham surrounds another loan spell. Whether Leipzig would be open to such a suggestion remains to be seen, with just over two years remaining on his contract.

Anthony Martial to Tottenham transfer

Tottenham have been linked with a shock move for Manchester United forward Anthony Martial ahead of the summer transfer window. The striker is set to be a free agent in the coming weeks, following a nine-year stint at Old Trafford.

And, according to Tuttosport [page three], his potential release has put Spurs on the radar for a move. Postecoglou appears to be looking towards strengthening the forward ranks in the months ahead, which may lead to a switch.
