Tottenham Hotspur have been involved in private talks over the proposed European Super League.
The UEFA Champions League is set to undergo a new format from next season, but it seems the Super League concept is not buried just yet.
Tottenham were one of the clubs who were believed to have been involved in the plans for the proposed breakaway competition, and they may still be.

Tottenham’s European Super League talks
Fans initially protested against the proposals back in 2021 and clubs had then decided to distance themselves from the concept.
However, a ruling from the European Court of Justice has now seen the big six Premier League clubs return to talks over the proposed new competition.
New quotes from the chief executive from a promoter of the European Super League, Bernd Reichart, have shed some light on current talks.
When asked if talks with Premier League clubs are still happening, he said: “Yes of course. It’s absolutely a logical and natural process.
“Everyone is trying to get a sense of what the ruling could mean, it’s the professional obligation of clubs to know what this change in club governance in Europe could mean for them.
“It’s a great opportunity, why shouldn’t everybody have a look at it neutrally and decide what’s best for their clubs, their members and their fans? We are aware that clubs all over Europe are currently involved in that process and we try to assist them and help them.”

Tottenham’s Champions League hopes
Talk of a potential return to the European Super League proposals comes at a time when Spurs seem to be heading in the right direction.
Under Ange Postecoglou, the Lilywhites have got an identity back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as exciting football is back on display.
And that is translating into results with the victory over Aston Villa on the weekend a huge statement in their hunt for a spot in the Champions League.
With the Champions League now set to expand and introduce a new league format, it will be interesting to see whether opinions have changed on the Super League concept.
Of course, there was a lot more than just the football side of the proposals under scrutiny, but this may just have opened the door for some fans.
The Champions League will change completely from next season and will become more similar to the initial concept proposed by the Super League.
If this is the case, perhaps some fans may be willing to consider the possibility of clubs moving over to the Super League if the money is dramatically increased.
