Tottenham have done something which no other Premier League has managed this season

Tottenham Hotspur remain the only side in the Premier League to keep a clean sheet at Kenilworth Road this season.

Ange Postecoglou’s men picked up a 1-0 win at Luton Town back in October, a victory which ultimately saw Tottenham head to the top of the Premier League

Spurs were firmly up against it on the day as Yves Bissouma was dismissed in the first half for picking up a second bookable offence for an obvious dive.

Yet, the Lilywhites rallied to secure a memorable win thanks to Micky van de Ven’s second-half effort.

And it remains a notable achievement as Luton have scored in every league game at home this season, apart from the defeat to Tottenham.

Tottenham are the only side to keep a clean sheet at Kenilworth Road this season

According to Squawka, only Tottenham have prevented Luton from scoring at home this season.

In their most recent clash against Spurs’ top-four rivals Aston Villa, Rob Edwards’ men also netted twice despite suffering a 3-2 defeat.

This has to go down as one of the more surprising stats of the campaign so far.

Not many would have predicted Luton to score so frequently after they were very much labelled as a guarantee to go down.

It is also surprising when you consider the fact that Postecoglou’s side have been far from convincing defensively this season.

For all the improvements we’ve seen under the Aussie, Spurs have struggled to keep teams at bay this term.

Indeed, Tottenham currently rank twelfth in the Premier League when it comes to clean sheets as we’ve recorded just five this term.

Our most recent victory over Crystal Palace should offer some encouragement on that front though as we limited Oliver Glasner’s side to just four shots in the game.
