Gareth Bale remains beloved by the Tottenham fans, and they surely will appreciate his recent comments on Arsenal.

The former Wales international moved to North London from Southampton as a skinny left-back and left for Real Madrid as one of the best left-wingers in Europe.

He achieved great success at the La Liga giants, winning multiple league and Champions League titles before returning to Spurs on loan for the 2020/21 campaign.

Gareth Bale admits he hates Arsenal the most

Bale is currently with the rest of the players at the Icon Series, which is a golf competition.

In this tournament, big-name former Premier League footballers are participating, and they partake in Q&A sessions for content on Instagram reels.

Recently, a number of them were asked to name the club which they hate the most.

Bale, without any hesitation, named Arsenal, given the huge rivalry between his former club Tottenham and the Gunners.

While Spurs fans will be delighted with their former player’s answer, they will be less pleased when they look at the Premier League table.

The Lilywhites sit in 15th place with an abysmal 29 points after 25 games, while Arsenal are on top of the league, six points clear of second-place Manchester City.

Will Tottenham sack Thomas Frank before the end of the season?

While Spurs have done well in the Champions League, once again, it is their Premier League performances that have taken a hit.

Ange Postecoglou was sacked despite winning the Europa League, as Spurs finished in a shocking 17th position last season.

Given the squad outlay and expectations, this was far from what was expected and the Australian was shown the door.

Frank may have the results in Europe to buy him some time, but uninspiring performances week in and week out in the English top flight have amplified the pressure on him.

If Spurs remain in the bottom five into March and there is a chance of a new interim manager being able to galvanise the side and potentially help them progress in Europe, the board may take the gamble.

However, given the Mauricio Pochettino links and other managers being available in the summer, Frank is expected to be given time until the end of the season.
