Jamie Carragher has issued a strong warning to Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy after Chelsea defeated Spurs.
Tottenham allowed another two-goal lead to slip, this time to their bitter rivals Chelsea who won 4-3 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The defeat now leaves Postecoglou’s job in danger as his team imploded on yet another occasion this season.
Levy is now at risk of having to sack another manager which would make it 14 managers in 23 years in charge of the football club. Now, following the defeat to Chelsea, Carragher has told the Spurs chairman the major decision he must take.

Jamie Carragher calls for Daniel Levy to leave Tottenham
Jamie Carragher has called for Daniel Levy to step down as chairman of Tottenham as he looks to have failed yet another manager. The former Liverpool defender believes the Lilywhites won’t ever achieve success under the current regime.
He claims that whilst money has been spent, the North London club have never really gone out of their way to do a really big push in the transfer market. Meanwhile, their wage bill is often dwarfed by the bigger clubs which means attracting the best players isn’t possible.
Carragher told Sky Sports: “It’s probably time for someone else to come in because to not win a trophy in that period of time with the managers they have had. They’ve not really ever gone out of their way in the transfer market, they’ve spent decent money without blowing other teams out the water, but the wage bill is always amongst the smallest so they’re never going to get the best players.
“So it might be the time for actually Daniel Levy, who I have been a supporter of because you look at the work he has done in terms of the stadium, but now that work is done with the stadium and training ground – someone else needs to be in charge of this football club.”
Jamie Carragher sends warning to Ange Postecoglou
Carragher also had a message for Postecoglou which was to adapt his tactics or expect not to be at Tottenham next season. The Australian manager has been criticised throughout his time in North London for being too one-dimensional.
His gung-ho tactics often leave his team wide open in defence and Spurs’ record of just one clean sheet in their last 22 Premier League home matches shows the issues they are having. Postecoglou is adamant he won’t change but Carragher has warned him he must or he will be sacked.
“I wake up every morning, and if the sun’s shining I put a pair of trainers, shorts and a t-shirt on – but if it’s raining, you put your coat on. You can’t have this idea that we’re just going to play our way of playing football – it won’t work and if it doesn’t change, he won’t be here next season.”
