Tottenham Hotspur have two exciting youngsters out on loan in the Belgian Pro League in Alfie Devine and Luka Vuskovic.
The duo have made quite an impression so far at K.V.C. Westerlo and were both in the starting line-up away at Standard Liege on September 28.
Westerlo have made a great start to the season and currently sit in fourth after nine matches, last term they ended the regular season in 11th.
De Kemphanen secured a big three points against Liege as they won 2-1 in East Belgium with the Tottenham loan duo producing impressive performances.
Devine and Vuskovic impress vs Standard Liege
Devine and Vuskovic’s performances against Standard Liege have fans talking about the two massive talents which they have on their hands.
Tottenham look to have made a great decision sending them both on loan to Westerlo where their development is on the right track.
Vuskovic’s pathway since signing for Spurs has been praised with the defender having made a smooth transition from playing in Poland to the Belgian top flight.
The North London club made a significant investment in the Croatian having paid £12 million to sign from Hajduk Split when he was just 16 years old.
The 17-year-old also grabbed an impressive assist for Westerlo’s winning goal as he picked up the ball on the halfway line, beat two defenders and played a great pass into Matija Frigan who found the back of the net.
How fans reacted to Devine and Vuskovic vs Standard Liege
After the game, supporters took to X to sing the praises of both players, but particularly Vuskovic who looks like such a massive talent.
One supporter said: “Tottenham’s on-loan defender Luka Vuskovic grabbed an awesome assist today, as Westerlo beat Standard Liege 2-1 in the Belgium Pro League. Cannot wait to see what Big Ange cooks up when this talent arrives at Spurs.”
Another fan made quite a statement about the level the young defender could reach: “Croatia will have a defensive partnership composed of Gvardiol and Luka Vuskovic.”
There was yet more praise for him, with a fan adding: “Luka Vuskovic is going to become someone, he is much too strong.”
“Luka Vuskovic will be one of the best defenders of this decade,” another fan proclaimed in a bold statement.
Meanwhile, there was acknowledgement for Devine’s contribution against Liege as he too produced a solid display for Westerlo.
