Tottenham Hotspur supporters are loving how Heung-min Son reacted to the performance of one of the team’s underrated duos against Manchester City.

Spurs sent shock waves around the Premier League as they produced one of the most stunning results of the season by defeating the English champions 4-0.

The North London club emphatically ended City’s 52-game unbeaten run at the Etihad Stadium as Ange Postecoglou’s team once again got the better of Pep Guardiola.

After the win, Son was quick to show his appreciation for two players in particular who played a key role in helping secure the three points.

Radu Dragusin and Ben Davies were outstanding at the Etihad as the duo stepped up in the absence of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. Romero and Van de Ven both missed the trip to Manchester with injuries leaving fans fearing the worst.

Dragusin and Davies struggled together away at Galatasaray and the Roaminian was also poor against Ipswich Town. However, against the likes of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, they managed to silence City by keeping a clean sheet.

City had 23 attempts at goal but just five on target as the defensive duo limited the quality of chances the champions were able to carve out. Spurs’ captain was quick to acknowledge their performances against Pep Guardiola’s side and gave them both big embraces after the win.

How Tottenham managed to keep Manchester City out

City managed their most attempts at goal in one game without scoring since they lost to Manchester United 2-0 back in March 2021. But despite having 23 attempts, the champions never really looked like getting past Guglielmo Vicario.

Postecoglou’s team managed to limit City’s to 2.14 and seemed to catch Erling Haaland in a bad run of form in front of goal. Tottenham’s defensive structure proved very tricky for City to break down and on the few occasions they managed to find a way through Vicario kept them at bay.
