Tottenham Hotspur supporters have made their feelings clear as to who should be the player to replace Heung-min Son as club captain when he leaves.
Sonny’s future at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium remains uncertain with his one-year contract extension option yet to be taken up.
The Spurs News reported earlier this month that Tottenham have decided not to offer Son a new long-term contract meaning at best the South Korean has one more season left in North London.
When the current club captain does eventually leave Spurs, the Lilywhites’ fans have already decided who they want to take the armband next.

Tottenham fans want Dejan Kulusevski as their next captain
Tottenham fans are calling for Dejan Kulusevski to become the next captain of the club following his stellar performance at the Etihad. The Swede were outstanding in Manchester as he produced yet another goal contribution away at City now making it six in four against the champions.
Kulusveski has recently taken the armband of the Swedish national team and that decision has so far proven a roaring success. Sweden are quickly announcing themselves as an outside contender for the 2026 World Cup having won five of their last six matches.
Now, Spurs supporters have taken to X to share their desire for Kulusevski to replace Son as captain when the winger eventually leaves the club.
One supporter said: “Son is the captain who kept a squad together post-Kane and into the new era, Kulusevski is the captain we need for when it (hopefully) fully comes together under Ange. Today was the first perfect game and we were missing the main players. Kulu’s hunger and work rate needs to be infectious.”
“Kulu has exactly the mentality our fans want. I’d make him captain next season. None of this Romero Maddison nonsense at vice-captain,” added another fan.
Another Spurs supporter claimed: “Kulusevski may now be my favourite player. Absolute baller and future captain, he can’t ever leave Spurs.”
Kulusevski’s comments after Man City prove he is captain material
Kulusveski always speaks so well in the media showing such a strong mentality that Tottenham have needed for years. The 24-year-old is always setting the standard and urging his teammates to keep making improvements.
Speaking after the win over City, the midfielder has told his fellow Spurs players that they must continue to play as a family. Kulusevski said to SPURSPLAY: “It’s the only way to win games when you play as a family. When you see your guys in danger you help them.
“We are a family. No family is perfect but at least we protect each other. We have a lot of good, good players away too in Romero, Micky [van de Ven], Richy and Bentnacur and we come here and do this performance, it’s special.”
