Tottenham seem to already be preparing for life without interim manager Igor Tudor after the 5-2 loss to Atletico Madrid.
With the defeat to Atletico in the Champions League, he became the first manager ever to lose his opening four games in charge of the Lilywhites.
The result also meant that for the first time in Tottenham’s history, they lost six matches in a row.
Fill in the blank: Tottenham should _____ Igor Tudor after losing 5-2 to Atletico Madrid…
Tottenham initiate initial conversations for Igor Tudor’s replacement
According to Flashscore, sources believe that Tudor’s time in North London appears to be coming to an end.
While he has only been in charge for four games, things appear to have gone from bad to worse following Thomas Frank’s departure.
Against Atletico Madrid, the Croatian opted to start Antonin Kinsky over Guglielmo Vicario, but the decision backfired and he took the former off after 17 minutes with Spurs down 3-0.
RIGHT or WRONG: Was Igor Tudor right to sub off Antonin Kinsky after just 17 minutes?
Tudor has also failed to generate the support of the dressing room, with no players’ performance improving under his stewardship.
Due to this, Tottenham have already held initial conversations about who can replace him until the end of the season.
However, Tudor will be in charge for the Liverpool game, and any change is expected to take place after that clash.
Henry Winter believes Tudor does not even deserve another half at Spurs
Henry Winter, the former chief football writer at The Times, believes that Tudor will be sacked by Tottenham.
In his view, the former Juventus manager does not even deserve another half in charge of the North London outfit.
While he acknowledged that things were bad under Frank, he is of the opinion that Tudor has made the situation worse.
He also did not like his handling of the Kinsky situation and described it as “crazy”.

Winter wrote on X: “Carriage for Tudor. Has to happen. Spurs wanted to give Igor Tudor four more games, starting with this one. He doesn’t deserve even one more game. He doesn’t actually deserve one more half. That half was humiliating. 4-1 down and should be down to 10 men. Spurs were bad under Thomas Frank. Tudor’s made them worse. Wrong selections, wrong tactics.
“Some sympathy for Antonin Kinsky; should never have started. Crazy decision by Tudor to pick him. And now he’s crushed him. Like his team, Tudor has no defence. He has to go. Now.
“Dismissing Tudor is an easy decision for the board to make. It’s the obvious decision. The difficult decision is who should replace him? Fans want Mauricio Pochettino but he’s otherwise engaged. For now. Robbie Keane?”
Unfortunately for the football journalist, Tudor will be in charge for at least two more halves of football.
Spurs would not want to sack him without having a replacement in place, as it would expose just how badly run the club is.
Vinai Venkateshman and Johan Lange have been left with egg on their faces as they were the ones who backed Tudor to succeed.
