Timo Werner is officially a Tottenham Hotspur player.
The ex-Chelsea forward has finally finalised his loan deal to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Werner joins up with the first-team squad at Hotspur Way until at least the end of the season.
Ange Postecolgou is getting an absolute speed demon. Werner is one of the quickest forwards in all of Europe, which will fit in perfectly with the dynamism of the current attack.
The German is very happy to be here and it seems he already has a strong affiliation to Tottenham Hotspur.

Timo Werner on “special” Tottenham Hotspur
Werner has faced off with Spurs before during his time at Chelsea – but now he’ll be in white over in North London. His previous experiences with Spurs have already allowed him to see something ‘special’ at Tottenham – without even kicking a ball yet.
“The new stadium was something special to play in, and straight away I loved it,” he said to club media in his first interview. “It was always big games against Spurs, but now I’m happy to be a part of the team.
“It should be even more special to play for the home team and have the whole crowd behind you when you score. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Timo Werner on his best Tottenham Hotspur position
He also discussed where he’s likely to feature under Postecolgou. He said:
“I hope I can be the best player I can be here. I can play every position upfront that’s always good when you have some players who can play different positions, it makes it even harder to defend for the other teams if they never know who is coming. Yeah, I think that’s one of my strengths to be flexible.”
Great news for Spurs, who will have several different fluid attacking options heading into the second half of the season. This transfer, once again, has to be put down to Postecoglou’s influence. The 27-year-old appeared very happy with the Aussie during negotiations:
“The manager straight away gave me the feeling that I needed to join the club, what I want to feel when you talk to a manager. Also, his tactics, his style and the way the team plays fit me perfectly.”
