One of Tottenham Hotspur’s player’s performances against Fulham has been singled out by the media as he was well off it in North London on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs limped to a 1-1 draw at home to 10-man Fulham as injuries took their toll on Ange Postecoglou’s team who looked well off the pace. The Lilywhites looked so sluggish for 90 minutes as they failed to win yet again following a Europa League midweek match.
There has been a lot of finger-pointing after the game and the media have highlighted one of the key areas which proved to be the Lilywhites’ real weak link.

The media claim Ange Postecoglou will be worried by Pedro Porro vs Fulham
The media were not impressed by Pedro Porro’s performance against Fulham and did not hold back on their assessments of the defender. The 24-year-old looked well off the pace against the Cottagers as he was playing his sixth consecutive 90 minutes for Spurs.
Tom Cairney was given the freedom to smash home his effort from inside the penalty area with Porro allowing him far too much space. Right now, he just looks fatigued and Tottenham fans have called for Spence to replace Porro against Bournemouth.
The Daily Express gave Porro a 5/10 and wrote: “Fulham’s Reiss Nelson generally had the better of Porro. Much of Fulham’s best work came down Spurs’ right-hand side and that will be a concern for Postecoglou.”
Football.London also rated him 5/10: “Looked tired for much of the game and had a tough job on his hands with Iwobi in the second half. Wasn’t able to make a couple of runs as the game wore on when team-mates needed him to. Odd that Spence wasn’t called upon at any point.”
Meanwhile, The Spurs Web were less forgiving of his display handing him a rating of 4/10: “Has looked really tired and not making the forward runs he usually does.”
Pedro Porro’s stats vs Fulham
Porro certainly had an afternoon to forget at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as once again his defensive frailties were exposed by Fulham. The defender had a torrid display as he was dribbled past on five occasions.
The Spanish international also lost six of his ten ground duels and had a pass completion record of just 76 percent. The right-back also lost possession for the hosts on 17 occasions.
