TalkSPORT pundit Danny Murphy has admitted he wants to see Tottenham Hotspur lift silverware before Harry Kane.
The England captain kept Bayern Munich’s Champions League hopes alive on Tuesday night with a brace against Lazio.
And Harry Kane has been backed to lift a trophy in Germany before Ange Postecoglou’s men do.

Harry Kane Champions League goals
Tuesday night’s brace against Lazio saw Kane find the back of the net in the Champions League knockout stages for the first time in five years.
The last time Kane had scored at that stage came all the way back in 2019 away to Borussia Dortmund.
Bayern’s trophy hunt has taken a major blow in the Bundesliga thus far, but their Champions League dreams are very much still alive.
And speaking on TalkSPORT, Murphy has admitted he would prefer to see the Lilywhites lift silverware before Kane at Bayern. He said: “I think Tottenham will get in the Champions League, so the worst they’ll end up is Europa League. The problem is when you’re playing Champions League and Europa League you’ll always come up against a powerhouse.
“So I mean, we’re just surmising, I mean I hope Tottenham win something. I would love to see Tottenham win something quicker than Harry Kane that’d please me. I’ve got no problem with that, but the reality is when asked the question, percentage-wise, if you if you are betting on one or t’other, I would probably go for Kane winning something in Munich before Tottenham. Most people probably would.”

Harry Kane trophies
Up to now, the 30-year-old striker only has individual awards to display on his mantle piece in Munich.
His move to the German giants was, without doubt, a decision backed behind his trophy drought in north London.
Kane put his quest to become the Premier League’s all-time top scorer on hold as he searched for that allusive trophy.
However, it has not turned out to be as straightforward as many may have imagined.
The former Spurs man has had a sensational season in front of goal with 31 in his 31 appearances across all competitions.
But Bayern lost in the Super Cup, were dumped out of the DFB Pokal by a third-tier side and sit 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the league.
There has even been some speculation surrounding his future beyond the summer.
Having said that, Spurs also find themselves out of both domestic cups, but it is a question of what if when it comes to how good they could’ve been with Kane this season.
